Possible Nor'easter This Weekend

Rockland, Maine - There is growing chance that a Nor'easter will hit the here this weekend from Saturday into Saturday night. How much snow will fall? Will there be a mix of rain and snow. These are questions that will have to be answered.

According to Weather Channel, Rockland area could see between 5 and 8 inches of snow Saturday night with a rain/snow mix during the afternoon. Portland and Bangor area could see between 3 and 5 inches. Ellsworth and Calais area are predicted to get 8 to 12 inches.

Here is what National Weather Service has to say.

A coastal storm will pass by Saturday night bringing snow to the coast. If the storm ends up tracking a bit closer to the coast than currently expected, a heavier snowfall would be possible for southern New Hampshire and coastal Maine.

Saturday Night Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Blustery. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Portland
Saturday Snow and sleet likely after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 60%.


Saturday Night A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Ellsworth
Saturday A chance of rain and snow after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 36. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.


Saturday Night Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Blustery, with a light and variable wind becoming north 16 to 21 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Calais
Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.


Saturday Night Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 23. Blustery, with a light and variable wind becoming north 16 to 21 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
