Winter Storm Juno Affects Flights and Meetings

Portland, Maine – January 26, 2015 - The Portland International Jetport has been notified by all of its air carriers that, due to the winter storm affecting the Northeast United States, (Winter Storm Juno) all departures have been cancelled for Tuesday, January 27, 2015.  The only arrivals currently scheduled are Tuesday late evening, however the airlines are continuously monitoring the weather and may cancel these inbound flights as well.

Passengers are advised that, while the terminal building will be open, airline ticketing and baggage services will be closed on January 27th and that they should contact their airline via phone or website for up-to-date information on refunds or alternate travel plans.

Plans for resuming service on Wednesday, January 28th are being coordinated with the Jetport’s airline partners.  Additional updates regarding airline schedules and ticketing hours will be posted when more information is available.

The Jetport Noise Advisory Community Meeting scheduled on Peaks Island for Tuesday evening has also been cancelled due to the storm. Future meeting dates will be released once rescheduled.

Operational updates will be published on portlandjetport.org and on the Jetport’s Facebook and Twitter feeds. facebook.com/portlandinternationaljetport and twitter.com/portlandjetport
