UPDATE Rockland Fire Department Responds To Main Street Apartment Fire, Ruled Accidental


UPDATE: The fire was accidentally caused by a contractor working on the exterior of the structure.
Rockland, Maine - The Rockland Fire Department got a call around 5:30pm of a fire in one of the 44 apartments at the 387 Main Street (Historic Brick Thorndike Building) on Monday January 19th, 2015. It appears that water damage was a real issue as the fire was put out quickly by a fast response and sprinkler system.

Everyone was able to get out safely.

Rockland Fire was still on scene at 6:25pm with Thomaston Fire Department responding with ladder truck for vent and mop up. Some units cleared the scene around 7:18pm with a few remaining.
