SUNDAY UPDATE: Winter Storm Watches have been issued for all of Maine, 6+ is likely to fall. Some reports are calling for up to 2 feet and blizzard conditions, stay tuned...
Rockland, Maine - On the heels of this storm it looks like this is just a pre-snowstorm as a more major one will impact the area on Tuesday during the day and into the evening hours. This Tuesday storm is one to seriously watch as right now more than a foot of snow is possible. Wind will be a real factor with this new storm unlike the one we are dealing with on Saturday.
According to Accuweather.com; A snowstorm from late Monday night into late Tuesday night with blizzard conditions from Tuesday morning into late Tuesday night and accumulations of 12-18 inches. They say winds will be from the N at 29mph, guests to 43 during the day on Tuesday and NNW at 32mph with guest as high as 52mph Tuesday night.
According to the Weatherchannel.com; A foot+ will add up during the day Tuesday with winds
between 25-35mph. Tuesday night the snow will be lighter with only 1-3 expected and winds around 25-35mph.
The big factors for this next storm if all plays out as planned right now will be amount of snow, winds and how cold it will be. Right now the temps will only be in the mid-teens.
It is clear to us here at RCN America Network that this Tuesday storm needs to be watched very closely.
Please send ALL things that may be cancelled or postponed if this Tuesday storm comes to be reality to rockycoastnews@live.com.
