City Councilor Larry Pritchett Returns, Louise MacLellan-Ruf Joins City Council

Rockland, Maine - Incumbent City Councilor Larry Pritchett will return to the council for a second
consecutive term while Louise MacLellan-Ruf will join the local legislative body for the first time.

Pritchett and MacLellan-Ruf won the two three-year seats on the City Council. Pritchett received 780 votes and MacLellan-Ruf, a member of the harbor management commission, collected 748 votes.

In the race for two seats on the Regional School Unit 13 board, incumbent Donald Robishaw Jr. was the top vote getter with 612 votes, winning a second term. Challenger Steven Roberts won the second seat with 587 votes. Incumbent William Pearce fell short with 513 votes.

The incumbents for two Rockland Port District posts — Howard Edwards and Dan McNichol — were uncontested and re-elected.

Rockland voters also gave the city approval to borrow $586,000 for a salt and sand shed. The referendum was approved 573-528.
