Camden Library Coffeehouse performance by the trio Wildage: Will Brown, George Fowler, and Baron Collins-Hill, 7:00 pm. Admission is $8, and $7 for seniors & students. The evening will feature a varied mix of songs and tunes, some up tempo, some waltzes, and airs that are all new repertoire, and also some dance tunes, some with a country twist, some downright Appalachian with a contemporary twist.

The world’s leading expert on The Wizard of Oz, John Fricke, author of “The Wonderful World of Oz: An Illustrated History of an American Classic,” will speak at the Camden Public Library, 7:00 pm. The library is participating in a nationwide celebration of the 75th anniversary of The Wizard Oz movie. Books will made be available at the talk by Owl & Turtle Bookstore.

The Hatchery Entrepreneurial Series at the Camden Public Library continues, 7:00 pm, with a presentation by four business owners from Knox County and their “Real Stories” about what it is like to do business here. Free, sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.

“Understanding Palliative Care” with Dr. Ira Mandel, 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, hosted by Quarry Hill. Palliative medicine focuses on improving quality of life for those with life-limiting conditions. Admission is free; however, seating is limited, and registration is required. Regular meeting of the Midcoast Audubon Society, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, featuring Michael Good of Down East Nature Tours of Bar Harbor on “Birds of the Gulf of Maine: Maine to Cuba and Back Again.” All are welcome.
“A Wicked Evening” with Gregory Maguire, author of the fabulous “Wicked” books, 7:00 pm at the Camden Opera House. To benefit the Camden Public Library. Tickets for the November 21 event are available at the library and online at www.librarycamden.org/shop. Tickets are $15, with a special package price of $25 which includes a copy of Wicked and the book-signing reception to follow the talk.
