Bangor, Maine - On October 18, the public is invited to attend a special free presentation at the Dirigo Pines Inn at 2 pm, Fall Fitness and Safety Tips for Seniors.
With the cold weather approaching, seniors can find it a challenge to stay physically active and avoid falls. During the presentation, Amy Cotton, nurse practitioner and EMHS director of Operations and Senior Services, and Jennifer Maskala, Rosscare LiveSAFE program manager, will discuss tips on physical fitness during the winter months, as well as fall prevention strategies and community resources to promote safety all year round.
“Snow and ice, as well as frigid temperatures all can be challenges to staying active. It is my hope that this presentation will provide seniors and their loved ones with ideas on how to stay healthy, safe, and live life to the fullest, even during the coldest months of the year,” shares Cotton.
This free presentation is sponsored by Rosscare. We kindly request that members of the public who plan on attending RSVP by calling Dirigo Pines (toll free) at 1-866-344-3400.
