Wolves Pull Away from Terriers Late, 7-3

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Thomas College baseball team fell in their fifth straight game in a 7-3 loss to Keuka College on Tuesday morning at Lake Myrtle Park.
In the loss, the Terriers fall down to 2-10 while the Wolves near the .500 mark at 5-6.
The Wolves plated an unearned run in the first, two more runs in the fifth, and one in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead. 
Thomas cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single from Nicholas Cousins (Wells, Maine) and Alex Curtis (Monmouth, Maine) reaching on a fielder's choice to score Tristan Pena (Portland, Texas).
Keuka pulled away in the eighth on a two-RBI double and an RBI single.  The deficit was too large for Thomas in the ninth as they plated one run on a sacrifice fly from Connor Rittenhouse (Dover, N.H.) to finish at 7-3.
Ryan Caroway pitched six innings in the win for Keuka, allowing five hits and two runs.  Dan Steve picked up the save in three innings, two hits, and one run.
Jonah Gorgone (Casselberry, Fla.) took the loss for the Terriers in six innings, seven hits, and four runs (three earned).
The Terriers will end their spring trip on Wednesday with a game against St. Olaf.
