Husson Boothby Helps Men's Lacrosse Tame Terriers

BANGOR, Maine-  Husson University Men's Lacrosse (2-3, 2-0 NAC) cruised past the Thomas College Terriers (1-2, 1-1 NAC) 17-1 at Boucher Field on Wednesday evening in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action, for the Eagles 11th-straight win over the Terriers.
1st Quarter: Finding the back of the net on their second shot on goal, the Eagles captured a quick 1-0 lead with Jacob Boothby's fourth goal of the season, thanks to a perfectly placed pass by Zach Glazier. Husson extended their lead to three unanswered goals after Glazier ripped in a shot from the right side with less than three minutes left to play. The Terriers fired back just seconds later to put up their first point of the night, taking full advantage of an Eagles turnover with a goal by Colby Blondin. Brandon Bosse closed out the opening quarter as the fourth Eagle to find the net in the first 15 minutes of the match (4-1).
2nd Quarter: Boothby notched a hat trick and Glazier tallied a pair of goals going into halftime, after the Eagles tucked away three back-to-back over the course of two minutes. The 8th point for Husson hit the back of the net in the final three minutes (8-1).
3rd Quarter: The Terriers fended off the Eagles attack for over half of the third quarter as Connor Lamberton earned eight saves in net before an unassisted shot by Boothby snuck past him to give Husson an eight-goal difference with 7:24 left on the clock. With barely a minute left to play in the quarter, Brooks Gay found his second goal of the night for the Eagles first shorthanded goal of the season. Increasing the lead to 11-1, Boothby nearly hit the net on the buzzer with four seconds on the clock.
4th Quarter: The crowd went wild after Gunner McAllister achieved the "goal of the day", somehow following through on a blind shot as he dropped to the ground after getting checked from behind, unassisted (13-1). The Eagles closed out the match cruising to a 17-1 victory.
