Bowdoin edges Bates

LEWISTON, Maine - The Bobcats women's soccer team (4-4-2, 1-2-2) dropped a tight 1-0 decision to Bowdoin (5-2-1, 3-2-0) Wednesday afternoon at Russell Street Field.

Bowdoin out-shot Bates 24-9 in the match. Bates keeper Sarah McCarthy made six gaves on the afternoon. Olivia Amdur tallied five shots and two shots on goal for the Bobcats.

In the 79th minute Julia Patterson scored the lone goal of the match off an assist from Kiersten Turner.

Bates will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday as they visit Connecticut College. The match starts at 11:30 a.m.
