Author Kenneth Davis presents “The Hidden History of America at War: Untold Tales from Yorktown to Fallujah,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Davis is also the author of the “Don’t Know Much About History” series.
The fifth annual “Pumpkin Palooza” display of amazing jack-o’-lanterns, 7:00 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre. Bring your pumpkin to the Amphitheatre or drop it off during the day in the Children’s Garden with your name on it. Camden Library Coffeehouse features Meteora, 7:00 pm. Meteora is a trio with Will Brown, Kat Logan, and Jim Loney. They play an eclectic array of original songs and folk ballads, as well as traditional tunes, songs, and original arrangements. Tight three-part harmonies and varied arrangements are Meteora’s signature. Admission to the Coffeehouse is only $7, refreshments will be available.

Book Launch and Fashion Show with author Ronni Arno at the Camden Public Library from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The evening will feature a fashion show with kids ages 9 to 13 and a reading and book signing with local author Ronni Arno, with food, fun, fashion, and prizes!

Reception for the exhibiting artists of “There is Life after Stroke,” a display of work by the Midcoast Stroke Support Group, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The art will be on display for the month of November, including a number of different artists and media.
Monday, November 9
“Test Yourself for Allergies and Food Intolerances,” presented by Dr. Susan Miller, as part of the Destination Wellness Brown Bag Lunch Series, 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, all are welcome. Miller will describe a new form of energy medicine and biofeedback, called BioEnergetic Kinesiology, that successfully restores health & vitality.

“Leer y charlar” is “Read and chat,” entirely in Spanish! This Spanish language reading and conversation group will continue on second and fourth Tuesdays at 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.

“Weathering Shame” will be presented by one of Maine’s leading weathermen, WCSH 6 News Center’s Kevin Mannix and his social worker wife Linda Rota, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The book is a personal journey of shame and stigma penned by two respected professionals about their individual experiences with shame throughout their childhood and adult lives, stemming from growing up with alcoholism, severe depression, and suicide. The authors’ goal is for readers to benefit from their struggles, raise awareness, and be inspired and encouraged.
“Get Started on Your Career Plan,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. New Ventures Maine (formerly Maine Center for Women, Work, and Community) will offer a free workshop on career planning at the Camden Public Library.
