Whitingham, Vt. - Husson has claimed the top seed for the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey championship, which begins with a pair of semifinal matchups on campus sites Saturday, October 31.
The Eagles (6-9 overall) earned the top seed in the conference tournament after posting a 4-1 record in NAC play. On Saturday, October 31, Husson will host No. 4 Colby-Sawyer (8-7 overall, 2-3 NAC), while No. 3 Thomas (8-8, 4-1) will travel to No. 2 UMaine-Farmington (9-4, 4-1). Game times will be determined early next week.
NAC predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
Semifinal winners will square off for the conference championship on Saturday, November 7, at a time to be determined at the site of the higher seed.
The NAC Champion will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
