Whitingham, VT - The defending North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Champions Husson University men's soccer team has earned the fourth seed in the upcoming NAC championship and will host a quarterfinal game on Sunday, November 1.
Thomas has earned the No. 1 seed for the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Soccer Championship, which begins with quarterfinal matchups on campus sites Sunday, November 1.
The Terriers (12-4 overall) claimed the top seed in the conference tournament after posting an 8-1 record in NAC play and will earn a bye in Sunday's quarterfinal round. Second-seeded Castleton (13-5-1 overall, 8-1 NAC) will also earn a bye in the quarterfinals.
Colby-Sawyer (10-6, 8-1) claimed the No. 3 seed, while Husson (8-6-1, 5-4), New England College (11-7, 5-4), and UMaine-Farmington (5-9-3, 3-4-2) earned the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 seeds respectively to complete the six-team tournament field.
NAC predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
Two quarterfinal contests will be played on Sunday, as No. 3 Colby-Sawyer will host No. 6 UMaine-Farmington and No. 4 Husson will host No. 5 New England College. Game times will be announced once determined.
Quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinal round which will be played on Wednesday, November 4. Top-seeded Thomas will host the winner of the Husson vs. New England College quarterfinal, while No. 2 Castleton will host the winner of the Colby-Sawyer vs. UMaine-Farmington quarterfinal. Semifinal game times will be released at a later date.
Semifinal winners will square off for the conference championship on Saturday, November 7, at a time to be determined at the site of the higher seed.
The NAC Champion will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship.
