Workshop to Explore Basics of Planning, Designing and Building New Trails

Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust for our upcoming trail planning, design and construction workshop, the second in a series honoring National Trails Day.

The Land Trust will also host this workshop, entitled “Basics of Trail Creation and Construction,” on Tuesday, June 30th, between 9am and 1pm at the Ragged Mountain Preserve in Camden. Participants are asked to RSVP as the meeting location, the tennis courts at the Camden Snow Bowl parking area, is subject to change. Participants should also be prepared for a rigorous hike that will involve off trail exploration of Ragged Mountain.

This workshop is designed to train people interested in participating in area trail maintenance and development efforts. Whether you are interested in learning more about the maintenance or construction of trails on your own property or would like to join one of the Land Trust’s active trail teams, we hope you will consider attending.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 9,740 acres to date. For more information about this event, our volunteer program, and the Land Trust in general please call (207) 236-7091 or visitwww.coastalmountains.org.
