Sea Princesses Announced For 2015 Maine Sea Goddess

Rockland, Maine - The Coronation Committee wishes to introduce the 17 young ladies who will vie for the title of Maine Sea Goddess at the 2015 Maine Lobster Festival, and the five coronation judges who will evaluate the Princesses.

The 2015 Sea Goddess Coronation, steeped in tradition and pageantry, will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 8 p.m. on the Main Stage of the grounds. As always, it will be one of the highlights of the 68th annual Maine Lobster Festival, which will take place Wednesday, July 29 – August 2, 2015.

Paige Sara Tyler of Spruce Head is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Duane and Amy Tyler. Her school activities included V Soccer & Softball, NHS, Student Government, 2014 CEI Research, Yearbook , Community Service, STEM endorsement committee and Trekkers. Her hobbies are Traveling, going to the beach, visiting patients at the Knox Center, being with family and friends and going to sporting events. She is employed at Millers Lobster Company. Her future plans are to attend Saint Anselm in the fall to study nursing. Paige's sponsor is Miller's Lobster Company, Inc. of Spruce Head.


Ashley Virginia Pezanowski of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School.  She is the daughter of Lori Pezanowski of Rockland and Tim Pezanowski of Spruce Head.  Her school activities included Key Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Math Team, cross country, track and field, basketball, yearbook, musical, and National Honor Society.  She also spent her junior year in Poland as a Rotary International Youth Exchange student.  Her hobbies are figure skating, traveling, reading and film.  She is employed at Sea Street Graphics.  Her future plans are to attend college at the University of Maine, earn a degree in Electrical Engineering and continue exploring the world.  Ashley's sponsor's  are The Lobster Shack and Distinctive Tile & Design both of Rockland.


Makaye Stone of Cushing is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Ronald and Pamela Stone. Her school activities included Project graduation and Skills USA and a member of National Technical Honor Society. Her hobbies are Playing Lacrosse, being with family and friends, cooking and hunting. She is employed at Point Lookout Resort. Her future plans are to attend the University of Maine at Orono in the fall. Makaye's sponsor's are Norton & Masters Certified Public Accountants, PA of Rockland and R&D Trash Removal of Thomaston.



Cheyenne J. Montgomery of Tenants Harbor is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Russell Montgomery and Angelique Furr. Her school activities included Fall musical, Lacrossse, Soccer, Field Hockey, Life skills mentor and volunteering. Her hobbies are Hiking, Skiing, running, reading, drawing, four wheeling and swimming. She is employed at Domino's and Superior Bait & Salt. Her future plans are to attend Husson University to become an Occupational Therapist. Cheyenne's sponsor's are Domino's of Rockland, Superior Bait & Salt of Tenants Harbor and The Black Harpoon of Port Clyde.



Kennedy Robyn Cooper of North Haven is a 2015 graduate of North Haven Community School. She is the daughter of Shaun and Karen Cooper. Her school activities included Basketball, Rowing, French Club, Honor Roll, studied abroad in Australia. Her hobbies are Playing guitar, 4 wheeling/snowmobiling, ice skating, swimming, skateboarding, hanging out with friends, doing makeup and getting dirty (baity, muddy, etc.). Her future plans are to take a gap year, she's been accepted with a volunteer program to work at an orphanage in Ghana, Africa.  After that, she wants to get her degree in Early Childhood Education, and be an elementary teacher.  Kennedy's sponsor's are J. Riley Elizabeth Simmons of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Susan Simmons. Her school activities included Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Indoor Track, Varsity Outdoor Track and Theatre. Her hobbies are Singing, camping, running and working out. Her future plans are to attend Maine Maritime Academy Major in Marine Sciences. Riley's sponsor's are the Samoset Resort and Rockland Professional Firefighters Local No. 1584.



Payton Ann Billingsley of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Greg and Hope Billingsley. Her school activities included Basketball, Soccer, Theatre, Student Government, Student Representative at the RSU #13 School Board, National Honor Society and President of the Maine Principals' Asscoiation Student Advisory. Her hobbies are AAU Travel Basketball, Hiking, Kayaking, Volunteering on Hurricane Island and reading & studying works of Shakespeare. She is employed at Camp Wavus of Kieve-Wavus Education in Nobleboro. Her future plans are to attend college in the fall to study Environmental Engineering. Amanda Marie Hoppe of South Thomaston is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School.  She is the daughter of Craig and Tracy Hoppe.  Her school activities included Field Hockey, Indoor Track & Tennis, Theater, Musicals & One Act Plays and a Life Skills Peer helper.  Her hobbies are Hiking, running, kayaking, yoga, Pilates, beach combing and volunteering at the Special Olympics and with youth field hockey. Her future plans are to attend Monmouth University in the fall to study Occupational Therapy.  Amanda's sponsor is Park Street Grille in Rockland.



Jacquelyn Olivia Thorbjornson of South Thomaston is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Melanie and David Eaton and Edward Thorbjornson. Her school activities included Key Club, Math Team, Student government, Field Hockey (4 yrs), Basketball, Indoor Track, Tennis, Cross Country, Drama Department, (Musical and One Act), Life Skills Peer Helper, Unified Basketball Team and National Honor Society. Her hobbies are Running, beach combing, Kayaking, hiking, fishing, creative writing, Pilates and Volunteering for many groups. She is employed at Waterman's Beach Lobster. Her future plans are to attend Princeton University and earn a degree in Biology. Jacquelyn's sponsor's are Waterman's Beach Lobster of So. Thomaston and Heartspot Stables of Thomaston.


Alexis Renee Davis of St. George is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School.  She is the daughter of Edward and Candice Davis.  Her school activities included Basketball, Softball and Skills USA.  Her hobbies are Basketbball, Softball, being with the St. George Fire Department as a junior EMT/Firefighter.  She is employed at Planet Toys of Rockland.  Her future plans are to attend Kennebec Valley Community College for nursing and later become a critical care nurse for Lifeflight.  Alexis's sponsor's are F/V Whitelightning, F/V Backwash, F/V Marjorie M and Olson & Slayton Forest Products of Cushing..


Jordan Marie Carpenter of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Anna Carpenter. Her school activities included Fall Musical and Maine Drama Festival. Her hobbies are Theatre, Music, Trekkers, hiking, community service and Tennis. Her future plans are to study Arts Administration with a co-major in Music Industry Studies at Albright College. Lily Viletta Vachon of St. George is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Thomas and Angela Vachon. Her school activities include being a Trekkers leader, varsity lacrosse captain, and unified basketball partner. Her hobbies are Sports, photography, traveling, music and attending live music concerts. Her future plans are to study International Business and Merchandising at a four year fashion school in New York City, also to study abroad. Lily's sponsor's are Time Out Pub and Eastern Tire of Rockland.


Kaitlin Anne Jacob of Thomaston is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School. She is the daughter of Lorri Butler. Her school activities included Trekkers, Lacrosse and Soccer. Her hobbies are Photography, Kyaking, fishing, and volunteering with youth. She is employed at Penbay Health at the Knox Center. Her future plans are to volunteer with the Americorps National Civilian Community Corps. Willow Sarah Crawford-Crudell of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School.  She is the daughter of Gretchen Crawford and Donald Crudell. Her school activities included Key Club, Art Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl ScoutsFall musicals, and Book Group. Her hobbies are volunteering , Art and Photography and reading. Her future plans are to continue studying Spanish, possibly as a minor or double major. Olivia Kayleen Ryan of Warren is a 2015 graduate of Medomak Valley High School. She is the daughter of Terry and Cheryl Ryan. Her school activities included Cheerleading, Soccer, PAWS, National Honor Society, Yearbook, Student Council, Prom and Honor Grad Committee. Her hobbies are Skiing, drawing, painting, hiking, Kayaking, camping, and traveling. She is employed at La Bella Vita at the Samoset Resort. Kingsley Rae Costanza Holmes of Rockland is a 2015 graduate of Oceanside High School (East). She is the daughter of Allen and Pamela Holmes . Her school activities included peer helper for life skills, tennis, and soccer. Her hobbies are volunteering, tennis, cooking, soccer, photography, travelling, singing and acting. She is currently employed at Rockland Hannaford Store #8230. Her future plans are to go to Rivier University and become an RN. Shyann Marie Metcalf of Union is a 2015 graduate of Medomak Valley High School. She is the daughter of Mark and Kathy Metcalf. Her school activities included Varsity Boys Baseball Management and PAWS (peers assisting with sincerity) . Her hobbies are Hiking, camping, kayaking, boating, running and working out. Her future plans are to attend St. Joseph's to earn bachelors in Criminal Justice, to Law School later to become a lawyer. Shyann's sponsor's are the Dip Net Restaurant, Linda Beans Lobster, Kathy Metcalf Cosmetology, Atlantic Claims Investigation Services, and Walter Metcalf.
