An Evening with John Ford and Mark Nickerson, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Ford, a retired Maine game warden, is the author of two books, “Suddenly, the Cider Didn’t Taste So Good: Adventures of a Game Warden in Maine” and “This Cider Still Tastes Funny! Further Adventures of a Maine Game Warden.” Nickerson is the author of “Blue Lights in the Night: Real Life Stories of Maine State Trooper.”

Artist’s reception for photographer Andrew Spalding, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Spalding’s exhibit “Vivid Visions of Maine and Marin” will be on display through the month of June. The reception will include a gallery talk and a photo presentation on the Burning Man Festival in Nevada. “Vivid Visions” combines colorful images of the rugged islands and bays of mid-coast Maine with scenes of Marin County’s redwood forests and pastoral rolling hills.

Slide talk on Nepal, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, with Joe Niemczura, who has just returned from Nepal to talk about his two books, his experiences as a nurse, and about the earthquake in Nepal. Niemczura has made seven trips to Nepal since 2007 to offer training in the medical field there.
