Lewiston, Maine - The Central Maine Medical Center Woman’s Hospital Association (WHA) is featuring the works of two photographers at its Rotating Art Gallery at CMMC.
Photographs by Joan Cyr and Andrea Lee Segars will be on display in the hospital’s lobby main corridor, near the 60 High Street entrance, from June 4 through July 2.
Joan Cyr is a nature and landscape photographer, who has exhibited at local art walks, Lewiston-Auburn businesses, and at the BRAF Gallery in Boothbay where the juried Maine Photography Show is held each spring. One of her photographs, “Auburn Riverwalk,” was featured in the December issue of “Down East”, a Maine magazine. Cyr has enjoyed photographing the natural beauty of Maine and New England for over 20 years.
“Photography to me is the ability to take moments in time and stop them for all to enjoy,” say Segar. “After years of debating, I finally took the leap into starting my own photography business in June 2010. I am a portrait and wedding photographer. I feel honored that they have allowed me to be part of their family for a day and if I am lucky enough for years to come.”
The artwork on display may be purchased through the WHA Gift Shop, located adjacent to the Main Lobby at CMMC. A percentage of sale proceeds benefit CMMC.
