Model A Ford Club National Tour to visit the Owls Head Transportation Museum with more than 200 cars

Owls Head, Maine - On Wednesday, June 10, The Model A Ford Club of America National Tour will visit the Owls Head Transportation Museum.  The group will be comprised of more than 200 vehicles and 400 people from all around the United States, with some participants hailing from as far away as New Zealand.

The group will be visiting the Museum for the duration of the morning and an unrivalled collection of Model A Fords will be proudly displayed for all visitors to see and interact with. As this is a driving tour, cars are expected to begin arriving around 9:30 a.m. and will be on display on the Museum’s Runway 17 show grounds until early afternoon.

Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to see a display of operating Model A Fords and visit with the owners of the cars. Various body styles will be represented ensuring a diverse representation of the Model A.

In addition to the exhibit of Model A Fords, visitors will have an opportunity to check out the Museum. Current highlights include the award-winning exhibition “Faster: The Quest for Speed,” a full-scale representation of the famous Wright Flyer, and a new exhibition: “The Artist’s Passion for the Automobile,” featuring a collection of more than 25 original works by artist Melbourne Brindle on display in the Museum’s newly revamped gallery space.

Standard Museum admission rates of $12 for adults and $10 for visitors over 65 apply. Youth under 18 as well as retired and active duty military are admitted free.  For more information please contact Museum Public Relations Director Jenna Lookner at (207) 594-4418.
