Free Event Highlighted by Santa's Arrival by Helicopter
Portland, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs will host the fourth annual Holiday at Hadlock event on Saturday, December 6th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Sea Dogs will turn the place of summer memories into a winter wonderland.
The free event, open to the public, will be highlighted by Santa's arrival from the North Pole via helicopter; Elf One.
Santa Claus is scheduled to arrive at 11:00 AM at Hadlock Field. Santa will then be available to meet with children until 2:00 PM.
Among the other highlights of the free event will be horse drawn carriage rides around the field, a reindeer petting zoo, craft room, L.L. Bean Bootmobile and Bean Boot Toss, and face painters and balloon artists from Party Palooga, presented by Five County Credit Union.
The Sea Dogs mascot band; The Kastaways will be performing some of your favorite Christmas
carols. Both Slugger the Sea Dog and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will also be at the event.
There will be a make your own S 'Mores station and free hot chocolate and cookies available.
Fans are also encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for our Toys-for-Tots drive.
Additionally, fans will be able to get a head start on their holiday shopping as both the Sea Dogs' Ticket Office and Souvenir Shop will be open to allow fans to give the gift of summer this winter.
The Sea Dogs open the 2015 season on Thursday, April 9th at 6:00 PM at Hadlock Field against the Reading Fightin Phils. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com. Book your nine inning vacation!
