Bangor, Maine - For many, access to some of the most important things that support good health – including routine check-ups with a healthcare provider and recommended health screenings – starts with health insurance. EMMC is holding several events to ensure community members who are seeking coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace have answers to all of their questions and can connect with experts who can help.
Anyone who is considering signing up for insurance can learn about the various options, find out how to enroll, get information on the plans offered, meet EMMC’s primary care providers, get a blood pressure screening, and visit educational displays at the following free events:
· Tuesday, January 6, 6-8 pm – Hilton Garden Inn, 250 Haskell Road, Bangor.
· Thursday, January 8, 6-8 pm – EMMC Family Medicine, 7 Main Road North, Hampden.
· Thursday, January 15, 6-8 pm – EMMC Family Medicine, 84 Kelley Road, Orono.
“Understanding the options and navigating the website can be confusing,” says Brenda Mulligan, CHAM, director of Access Management at EMMC. “Our goal is to connect people with our enrollment specialists who can help them through the process. When we sit down with people to go through the options, they are often surprised at how affordable the coverage can be.”
