Vinalhaven Fire, Marine Patrol, Coast Guard Responded To Fully Involved Lobster Boat

Vinalhaven, Maine - The Vinalhaven fire department, Knox Sheriffs Office and Marine Patrol responded to fully involved lobster boat fire by Crane Island Tuesday afternoon, December 16th.

Coast Guard was informed an sent a boat to the scene. Ferry Frank Thompson and several boats were on scene as well.

Everyone has made it off the boat named 'Midnight Rider' with two transported to the medical center on the island.

The fire was reported out around 2:20pm.

According to Bangor Daily News the people made safely off the boat to shore were father and David Anthony and son Blake Anthony. The Coast Guard got the call around 1:05pm about the lobster boat 'Midnight Rider' was fully involved.
