Hampden, Maine - This past Saturday, October 25th the Belfast and Oceanside field hockey teams traveled to Hampden Academy artificial turf for a quarterfinal match up. The quarterfinal match up determines who will move on to the semifinals on Tuesday, October 28th.

It was Belfast's day as they kept Oceanside from scoring until Mary Allen sent one into the net with under a minute remaining. The Lions Sabrina Ward and Kelci Faulkingham were able to send one ball a piece into the net past Oceanside's goalie.

Belfast had a wonderful day on the turf field as they were able to advance to the semifinals where they face Camden Hills Regional High School on Tuesday, October 28th in Rockport, Maine. This should be an interesting match up as Belfast #7 will take on
Camden Hills #6 in heal point standings. It is really hard to determine who might win as there's always an upset.

Despite Oceanside not winning in the quarterfinal game on Saturday, they still worked really hard and had a great season with being second seed in the Eastern Maine class B heal point standings. They won ten and lost 4 games during the regular season. Players for Oceanside should be really proud of themselves for making to the quarterfinals.
