Don’t miss the Owls Head Transportation Museum’s Great Fall Auction and Flea Market Nov. 1 and Nov. 2

Owls Head, Maine - On November 1 and November 2 The Owls Head Transportation Museum will host the annual Great Fall Auction and Flea Market. Admission is free throughout the weekend, bidders may also register free of charge.

This event has been referred to as a “one-stop-holiday-shop,” and is among the Museum’s most successful and lively fundraisers. There is a little bit of everything for sale at this fun two-day event, which includes an indoor flea market on Saturday and a live auction on Sunday. A silent auction begins on Saturday morning and bidding closes at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The Museum opens at 9:00 a.m. for the flea market on Saturday, Nov. 1 and doors open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. Sunday’s live auction will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Completely supported by donations from individuals and businesses, Saturday's flea market will consist of hundreds of miscellaneous items not included in the auction.  The silent auction portion of the event features an assortment of exciting items and gift certificates galore.

The fundraising Auction on Sunday features items of spectacular variety with the high-ticket items
slated to sell at noon. Attendees rarely leave empty-handed. Bidders vy for items including antiques, furniture, collectibles, a 1995 Dodge pickup with plow, a brand new Fisher 8.5’ Xtreme V plow, original artwork, housewares, a pair of original 1923 straight back wooden seats from Yankee Stadium, a brand new Stihl MS 170 chainsaw, assorted power tools and equipment, a five-day all inclusive stay in Aruba, house rentals in France and more. You never know what will come up on the block!

A sampling of the items to be offered for sale can be viewed at owlshead.org. The website will be updated with new listings daily.

High quality, tax-deductible donations are being enthusiastically accepted, all proceeds benefit Museum programs.
