Trekkers’ “Bid Big, Laugh Loud” Auction on November 8

Trekkers’ “Bid Big, Laugh Loud” Auction will take place on November 8 at the Owls Head Transportation Museum.

Owls Head, Maine - Trekkers has collected more than $50,000 worth of donated items for the “Bid Big, Laugh Loud” Auction Event on Saturday, November 8^th at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. This year’s event will feature many one-of-a-kind items during both the silent and live auction components, along with an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet and entertainment by comedian Bucky Lewis. All proceeds from this fundraising event will directly benefit Trekkers’ students.

Among the hundreds of items that are up for bid are a sailing adventure on the Schooner J&E Riggin,

a sea kayak tour from Port Clyde Kayaks, an overnight stay at Monhegan’s Island Inn, a weekend workshop at Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, Filson® brand fly fishing gear, and golf lessons at Megunticook Golf Club. This year’s auction will also include many beautifully handcrafted items, a variety of quilts, handmade wooden toys, paintings by local artists and unique jewelry. 

The silent auction will feature well over one hundred and fifty offerings, from spa treatments, catering services, loam and landscape services, to bait, tools, and memberships at local organizations.  With dozens of gift certificates for local eateries, businesses, services, and seafood, bidders can get a great jumpstart on holiday shopping and support Trekkers’ students at the same time.

The auction preview takes place from 5:45-6:30pm. The silent auction will be underway from 5:45-8:00pm. The crowd will be entertained by the comedic talent of Bucky Lewis, who will don his auctioneer’s hat and start the live auction at 7:15pm. The $5 all-you-can-eat dessert buffet will be offered throughout the evening, with more than 90 delicious desserts to choose from.

The “Bid Big, Laugh Loud” Auction Event will have something for everyone–fantastic auction items, delicious desserts and a hilarious evening with Bucky Lewis–all to benefit Trekkers’ students.
