“Blake Collection of Classical Music and Opera” November 9
Chester Blake will discuss the Library’s new Blake Collection of Classical Music and Opera in a talk on Sunday, November 9, at 2:00 pm in the Picker Room of the Camden Public Library. The collection is being created in memory of his wife Nancy. Mr. Blake has been passionate about collecting classical music and opera recordings for over 50 years; he retired to the mid-coast 12 years ago from New York City. The collection, featuring over 40 composers, currently includes over 140 CDs, DVDs, and books. Mr. Blake will also select a personal “Desert Island Baker’s Dozen” of notable recordings from the collection to present at the talk.
