Seeking Documentary Storytellers

We’re always on the lookout for great documentaries -- whether finished or in-progress, linear or immersive, feature or short -- and nearly all our programs include support for travel and accommodations on the coast of Maine.

Camden International Film Festival: screening 80+ completed documentary features and shorts (Earlybird Deadline: March 8)

Storyforms: a showcase of VR, AR and immersive art pushing the boundaries of nonfiction storytelling (Earlybird Deadline: March 8)

Points North Fellowship: six filmmaking teams accelerate the development of their feature films at the largest documentary pitch forum in the United States (Earlybird Deadline: April 5)

Shortform Editing Residency: four filmmakers workshop their short documentaries in post-production with support from creative advisors (Earlybird Deadline: April 5)

North Star Residency: five young filmmakers of color develop their works-in-progress while reflecting critically on the documentary field and building a strong community of support.

If you have a project that could benefit from any of the above programs, or know about one, we’d love to hear about it. Either way, we would be grateful if you could help share these opportunities with your networks! (see sample tweets below)

Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing what’s on your radar!
