Rockland, Maine - Why not make friends and family unique handmade gifts this holiday season? Come to the Rockland Public Library on Monday, December 21 at 6:00 PM for an evening of making several simple gifts. There will be four tables-- each with different crafts to create.
Mary Jane Martin will show people how to make and decorate wooden earrings. With Carney Doucette, crafters can make ornaments from seashells. Patty King will help participants make items from paper, including a matchbook journal and bookmarks. Peter Proeller will advise crafters in making punched aluminum candleholders.
Just bring yourself (or bring a friend too) and a willingness to learn; the event is free with supplies and guidance provided. This program is for adults and teenagers. Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. For more information, call 594-0310.
