Portland Public Library to host “USCIS Immigrant Outreach”

Portland, Maine - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) together with the Portland Public Library will host an information and outreach session at the Portland Public Library on Tues January 12th.
The public is invited. USCIS personnel from the Portland Field Office will be on hand to provide case status updates as well as to provide general information. Staff will also be able to answer questions about USCIS programs including naturalization, citizenship, permanent residency and other immigration related benefits. Free educational materials will also be available while supplies last.
Those interested in the naturalization process will receive information about eligibility and residency requirements, application forms, fees and processing times. Those individuals interested in checking on the status of their case are advised to bring all relevant documentation with them at the time of query.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is the government agency that oversees lawful immigration to the United States.
