BRUNSWICK, Maine - Both the Bowdoin men's and women's soccer programs
have been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association for
their work in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year.
Both squads received the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for
exceeding the minimum team grade point average of 3.0 last year. Bowdoin
was one of 222 schools across all NCAA divisions to have both its men's
and women's ream recognized.
It is the sixth consecutive year that both teams have garnered the
award. The honor comes following a season where both teams reached the
NCAA Division III Tournament. The women finished the 2014 season at
12-5-0 while the men ended 10-7-3 and won the program's first NESCAC
Championship.
