Dessert Cabaret at Camden Hills Regional High School

Rockport, Maine - The CHRHS Women’s Choir and Chamber Singers will host their annual Dessert Cabaret on February 9th in the Wave Café at 7:00 PM.  (A snowdate has been set for Feb. 11th).  Directed by Kim Murphy and accompanied by Susan Iltis, the annual Dessert Cabaret is a feast for ears and taste buds in the dreary dark winter months.

The Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir will perform the classic Beatles’ tune “Can’t Buy Me Love” plus the Broadway hit from Sweeney Todd “Not While I’m Around.”  Rounding out the show will be a variety of contemporary solos and duets from members of each choir.

The evening features delectable desserts made by parents and donated by area restaurants.  Audience members can sample as many desserts as they would like; and there is sure to be a delicious variety.  Extra special desserts will be auctioned off at the end of the evening.

The evening will close with the chance for an audience member to be serenaded by the male a cappella ensemble: The Off Beats and our new a cappella female group: Fortissima.
