.A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE COAST AND
EXTEND INLAND TONIGHT. THIS FEATURE WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR HEAVY
SNOWFALL WHICH WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TOMORROW. THE HEAVIEST SNOWS
WILL BE LOCALIZED... HOWEVER WIDESPREAD 6 TO 10 INCHES IS
EXPECTED ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 3 INCHES
PER HOUR ARE LIKELY AT TIMES. THE TROUGH WILL MOVE VERY LITTLE AT
FIRST BEFORE GRADUALLY SHIFTING EAST OVERNIGHT.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP IN THE GULF OF MAINE
AND CONTINUE SNOWFALL FOR PARTS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL MAINE.
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL OF 6 INCHES OR MORE IS POSSIBLE BEFORE
PRECIPITATION WINDS DOWN EARLY FRIDAY.
