Holiday Sing-Along at Rockland Public Library‏

Rockland, Maine - Take some time out this holiday season—to listen and to sing.  Enjoy a break and celebrate the season with a sing-along in the Rockland Public Library’s Reading Room on Sunday, December 14 at 3:00 PM.  Songs will be led and accompanied by pianist Sojourner Hodges and local banjo player Peter Proeller.  Hodges, a pianist and composer originally from Tallahassee, Florida, is the Music Director at First Universalist Church in Rockland.  Peter Proeller has been playing the banjo & singing Christmas carols for most of his life and he’s not planning on stopping any time soon.

The sing-along will feature such songs as “Deck the Halls,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Joy to the World,” and  “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”  Not a singer?  Please come to simply enjoy an afternoon of community while listening to favorite holiday music.  Seating will be limited so many singers may stand; if you wish to sit, please bring a cushion to sit on.  Lyric sheets will be provided. This program is free and open to the public and participants of all ages. Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. For more information, call 594-0310.
