| The Capital Steps take goodnight bows |
The Capital Steps, which began as a group of Senate Staffers, will present a show based on songs from their current album “How to Succeed In Congress Without Really Lying."
The group has been a Washington, DC institution for over thirty years, providing a unique blend of musical and political comedy about our Nation’s Capitol and more. Each show consists of tasteful lampooning intended to leave both sides of the political spectrum laughing.
The troupe started in 1981. Since then, they have appeared on The Today Show, Nightline, CBS
Evening News and for many years in specials for National Public Radio.
Their show is constantly changing, strenuously bi-partisan, and includes songs about everything in the news, such as “Putin on a Blitz,” “The Big Benghazi Theory,” and “Everybody Must Get Droned.” According to former President George H. W. Bush, “The Capitol Steps make it easier to leave public life.”
Tickets: $40/Advance, $45/Day of Show. General Admission. The Strand lobby and balcony bars will be open for those ages 21+ with a valid ID. The theater is located at 345 Main Street, Rockland.
