BANGOR, Maine - The Bangor CareerCenter, in conjunction with the Bangor Daily News, Maine Army National Guard, Tri-County Workforce Investment Board, Bangor Mall, General Rental Center, Eastern Maine Development Corp. (EMDC) and the Maine Department of Labor, will host the 17th Annual Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at at the Bangor Mall, 663 Stillwater Avenue.
The first hour of the event, from 10 to 11 a.m., will be dedicated to job seekers who are military veterans.
"The Maine Job Bank is at an all-time high with over 8,400 jobs available online, we know
employers are looking for help," said Governor Paul R. LePage. "This job fair features different types of occupations and industries. Come prepared to interview with Bangor region employers and highlight the skills you will bring to their business."
Attendees should bring a resume and, more important, should be prepared to have an "interview-like" conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities. Job seekers should also be dressed for an interview. Those attending the job fair may have their resume critiqued by career counselors for free.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O'Net software for skills assessment.
