Windjammers Sail Past Lady Mariners

Rockland, Maine - Oceanside High School lady mariners hosted Camden Hills Regional High School windjammers on Friday, January 17th. There is two games from Friday that we will highlight, junior varsity and varsity.

The junior varsity game featured Oceanside lady mariners winning the game by a score of 52-46. Oceanside played a great match against the windjammers of Camden Hills Regional High School. These players were the top scorers for Oceanside and Camden. For Oceanside had Haley M. scoring 15pts and Kelsey Brooks with 9pts. Camden had Jane V. scoring 18pts.

In the varsity game things changed as Camden Hills Regional High School were able to sail past the lady mariners of Oceanside High School by a score of  47-39. These players were the top scorers for Oceanside and Camden. Camden Hills's top scorers were Charlotte Messer 18pts and Rachel Pease 15pts. McKenna Brooks was the top scorer for Oceanside High School with 18pts.

Oceanside and Camden ladies played a hard fought battle that resulted in the windjammers winning.

In the heal point standings, Oceanside is in the number five spot with Camden being in the 10th spot for Class B East.

During the varsity game half time, Rockland Police Department donated a check to the Oceanside High School bleacher fund. They also put out a challenge to other RSU 13 district to donate for new bleachers. 

Other Sports News:
The Oceanside mariners traveled to Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport, Maine. This game from all accounts was a hard fought battle that resulted in two overtimes which allowed the windjammers to win by a score of 88-83.

In the heal point standings, Oceanside is 10-2 which keeps them in the number one spot in Class B East with Camden Hills in second.
