Reading and Book Signing by All at Sea Author
Searsport, Maine, January 24, 2014 – On Saturday, February 8, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Penobscot Marine Museum hosts a reading and book signing with Dominick Jones, author of All at Sea: Twenty Years at the Helm of Tall Ships. This true story, which receives rave reviews on Amazon, is the tale of falling in love with a woman who has five children and buying a square-rigged sailing barge for family vacations along the coast of England and France. The author recounts twenty years of hilarious, and sometimes dangerous, adventures learning to sail the vessel and keep her afloat, and they sail in and out of beautiful, charming European harbors.
The book signing takes place in Penobscot Marine Museum’s Main Street Gallery, 40 East Main Street, Searsport. It is free with $5 Gallery admission. Gallery admission is free for museum members and Searsport residents. For more information call 207-548-2529 or go to www.penobscotmarinemuseum.org.
Penobscot Marine Museum’s winter exhibit Underfoot: Footwear, Hooked Rugs, In the Cellar and Below Decks runs through Saturday, February 22. Museum Gallery, Shop and Framer hours are 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Thursday through Saturday.
