Ellsworth, Maine - The Grand begins its monthly “Classic Hollywood Films” series on Sunday January 12th at 2 pm with Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller “Rear Window.” Tickets are General Admission seating for each movie and are $5 per person.
What’s better than getting out of the cold and into a warm theater to see the best that Hollywood has offered from the past decades? In 2014, The Grand offers everyone the opportunity to see classic films the way they were meant to be seen - projected on a giant screen, larger than life - films that are all appropriate for all age so you can bring the whole family! The first of our winter monthly Sunday matinees is “Rear Window” starring Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly. Adapted from the short story by Cornell Woolrich, the film tells the story of an ace photographer recovering from a broken leg who witnesses a murder through the back window of his apartment- or did he?
So bring a friend, get out of the cold and share the experience of seeing one of the Master of Suspense’s classic films the way it was meant to be seen- on the big screen- as The Grand’s monthly “Classic Hollywood Films” series begins with “Rear Window” on Sunday January 12th at 2 pm.
The “Classic Hollywood Films” series is part of the film program at The Grand. Its next film is the MGM musical classic - and perhaps the greatest of all movie musicals - “Singin’ in the Rain” (starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O’Connor) showing at 2 pm on Sunday, February 9th!
