Superintendent Eric Cioppa announced Wednesday that the Maine Bureau of Insurance is continuing to hold public information sessions regarding the federal health care reform law (ACA). The next two sessions will be held in South Paris on October 22 and in Farmington on November 6. Previous sessions have been held in Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Portland and Presque Isle.
Individuals seeking information about the new federal health insurance marketplaces (also known as exchanges), as well as the new plans being offered in Maine in the federal marketplaces and other aspects of the health insurance portions of the ACA are invited to attend.
Questions about all other types of insurance are also welcomed. The Bureau will address all insurance-related questions or concerns. Informational materials will be available. Dates, locations and times are listed below:
October 22: 6:00 pm, Conference Room, Fire Station, 137 Western Avenue, South Paris
November 6: 5:00 pm, Room 101, Wing A, Roberts Learning Center, University of Maine at Farmington
