Postcard Exhibit and Workshop at the Blue Hill Public Library

Blue Hill, Maine - International postcards are the subject of a new exhibit and a workshop at the Blue Hill Public Library in November.  Five-year-old Eva Beal and her dad Tom Beal will exhibit their postcard collection in the Library’s Larchwood case in the children’s room during November and December. They have participated in an online postcard exchange program called “Postcrossing” for over a year and so far have both sent and received over 30 postcards from all over the world.


The “Postcrossing” workshop will be at the Library on Saturday November 9th at 10:00 AM. The Library will supply postcards and receive addresses for participants to address their cards to and write any message they want.  The Library will send the cards and once they are received, the Postcrossing organization will see that a postcard is sent back from somewhere in the world.  The location will be a surprise!
