The Bothersome Man Screening Rockland Public Library

JUNE 6th at 6:30PM at the Rockland Public Library FILM: The Bothersome Man

Rockland, Maine - Andreas arrives in a strange city with no memory of how he got there. He is presented with a job and an apartment, but before long, Andreas notices that something is wrong. The people around him seem cut off from any real emotion and communicate only in superficialities. He makes an attempt to escape from the city, but he discovers there is no way out, and even several attempts to kill himself prove unsuccessful. Andreas meets a man who has found a crack in a wall in his cellar. Beautiful music streams out from the crack, but from where? Is it the way out? Winner - ACID Award - Cannes Film Festival. Official Selection - Toronto and Seattle Film Festivals.

Special accommodations for persons with disabilities can be made with 48 hours notice. Please call the Library at 594-0310.

This evening is one in a continuing Thursday evening series of literary, film and musical offerings sponsored by the Rockland Public Library & The Friends of the Rockland Public Library. Admission is free.

Views expressed in public programs at the library are those of the presenters, and not necessarily those of the Rockland Public Library.
