“The Schweitzer Hospital – Then and Now (1913-2013),” an illustrated talk by Patti Marxsen and Dr. Hans-Peter Müller, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, on the centennial of the famous hospital founded by Albert Schweitzer in what was then French Equatorial Africa.
Thursday, May 30
Steve Huyler’s “Overland Tales: A Nineteen Year Old’s Adventures On The Way To India in 1971,” an illustrated talk by the Camden photographer, author, and anthropologist, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.
Tuesday, June 4
Al Gore’s “Climate Reality: Connecting the dots between extreme weather and global warming” slide talk presented at the Camden Public Library by environmental lawyer Sharon Tisher, 7:00 pm. Through remarkable photographs, instructional animations, and film, the show explores the connections between global warming and extreme weather events, including severe storms, droughts, and wildfires.
Thursday, June 6
“Songwriters Coffeehouse” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The Songwriters have been working on their new songs all winter and will perform them at the June Coffeehouse. Led by veteran songwriters David Dodson and Jim James. Free; donations accepted.
