Tribute to opera legends and Maine residents Bidu Sayao and Beaumont Glass, presented by Michael Lund, 7:00 pm in the Reading Room at the Camden Public Library, a free musical evening featuring recordings of arias, duets, and songs.

Reception for artist Carrie Hedstrom and her quilt exhibit, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Hedstrom’s wonderfully detailed quilts will be on display for the month of May.

“The Schweitzer Hospital – Then and Now (1913-2013),” an illustrated talk by Patti Marxsen and Dr. Hans-Peter Müller, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, on the centennial of the famous hospital founded by Albert Schweitzer in what was then French Equatorial Africa.
