Blue Hill’s New Surry Theatre and the 66 Steak & Seafood Restaurant Tunes In “The Radio Show”

Blue Hill, Maine - Blue Hill’s New Surry Theatre presents an exciting live recreation of classic radio
shows, commercials and songs entitled “The Radio Show- The Adventures of Sam Spade” on Sunday, May 19th at 7pm at the 66 Steak & Seafood Restaurant.

New Surry Theatre’s “Radio Show” recreates fun-filled, old-time radio shows of the thirties, forties and fifties for the audience. The actors create full characters (sometimes more than one in the same show!) using their emotions and voice (complete with “sound effects” and “commercials”) producing a lively form of entertainment that is unique and makes for the perfect evening out. For the May 19th show, “The Radio Show” channels Dashiell Hammett’s most famous private eye as it recreates “The Adventures of Sam Spade” episode “The Hot Hundred-Grand Caper.” Join Sam and a casino of colorful characters as the gumshoe takes on a case filled with mystery, danger, and enough fun twists and turns to thrill any lover of classic whodunnits. NST is delighted to partner with the 66 Restaurant to bring “The Radio Show” to the center of Blue Hill, providing audience members with the opportunity to enjoy drinks and a bite to eat before the show.

So come see a whole world of thrills, chills and action created before your very ears as New Surry Theatre presents “The Radio Show- The Adventures of Sam Spade” on Sunday, May 19th at 7pm at the 66 Steak & Seafood Restaurant.  Arrive early for dinner and drinks; stay after the show to order dessert and join in discussion with the actors and director.
