Shakespeare’s madcap comedy opens July 14
Bath, Maine — The Bath Shakespeare Festival opens THE COMEDY OF ERRORS on Thursday, July 14 outside the Patten Free Library with a special “pay-what-you-can” performance. Featuring professional actors and designers from Maine and across the country, the performances are presented in conjunction with the Patten Free Library and supported by the Bath Savings Institution. THE COMEDY OF ERRORS runs Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from July 14-24. All performances start at 6pm. Regular ticket prices range from $5 – $20, and the opening night performance is “pay-what-you-can.”Unraveling the twisted tale of two sets of identical twins who are separated at birth, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS features fast-paced physical comedy, slapstick, song and swordfights. With nods to the Marx Brothers and Monty Python, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS is Shakespearean silliness for the entire family.
