“Ferris Bueller's Day Off” Begins The Grand's “Summer Select” Series

ELLSWORTH – The Grand’s new Summer Select series – movies handpicked for summer audiences, all playing at 7:30 pm on occasional Thursdays at The Grand in Ellsworth – continues Thursday, July 28th at 7:30 pm with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Ticket prices are for general admission seating for each movie and are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for Grand members.

A 30th Anniversary screening of the beloved cable favorite starring eternal teenager Matthew Broderick, the movie tells the story of Ferris Bueller (Broderick,) a legend in his own time thanks to his uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last grand duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day bacchanal through the streets of Chicago. Dogging Ferris' trail at every turn is high-school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), determined to catch Bueller in the act of class-cutting. With Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey and Charlie Sheen.
