Maine Sea Goddess, Sea Princesses Visit Knox Center For Long Term Care

Rockland, Maine - Of all the things that I do in a year filming the Maine Sea Goddess, Sea Princesses visit to the Knox Center for Long-term Care has to be one of the high points of the entire year.

The girls day starts at 8:30 AM with the viewing of the movie”Buggin” about the lobster industry on the coast of Maine. After the film there are tables laid out with dozens of Lobster Festival posters for the girls to sign, these are given to the sponsors and others who have contributed to the Sea Goddess Coronation. Once these have all been signed and the writer's cramps have subsided it is time for the girls to create their own bouquets for the coronation.

Throughout the day the girls meet individually with the judges.  This is the time for the judges to meet one on one with all of the girls.

Before lunch it is time for the most important part of the day. Time to meet and sing for the residents of the Long term care facility! The girls visit each of the sections of the facility and have a chance to meet the residents and to sing songs that they remember, many of which were way before these girls were born. The big smiles and the residents singing along created great memories for all.

At noon it is time for the girls and judges to take a break and enjoy a lobster dinner put together by the staff of the Know Center For Long Tern Care.

After lunch there is time for some practice for the fast approaching coronation.
