Running the gamut from home-grown rock to Acadian fiddle to an all-youth Orchestra, this year’s series of free summer Waterfront Concerts has something for everybody. And now the all-female a cappella group “Ella Capella” will bring sweet harmonies and fun times to cool off the hot summer crowd.
“Ella Capella” is a 12-woman a cappella group from the Blue Hill Peninsula and have been entertaining local folks for nearly a decade. Their repertoire reaches from classical to comedy, jazz to “Jingle Bells,” Bach to Blondie. They sing simply for the love of singing and although they do perform at private functions, their primary focus is on the community. Throughout the year, they donate their gift of song to nursing homes and community centers and often lend their musical talents to local fundraisers. And now they come to sing for you at the Summer Waterfront Concert in Ellsworth!
So, bring a friend, a blanket or chair, and some snacks. Share the experience of great entertainment in the open air with “Ella Capella” at the Union River Harbor Park and Marina on Friday, July 15th at 6 pm as part of the annual free Summer Waterfront Concerts presented by The Grand and sponsored by the City of Ellsworth on Fridays at 6pm, continuing through Friday August 26th.
