The Sea Princesses start arriving at 4 in the afternoon, the banquet does not start till 6, but there is so much to do before that time. All the last minute preparations and individual photo shoots for all the girls. By 5 the guests have started to arrive, so many people to greet and all with butterflies the size of eagles in your stomach. Tonight each of the girls will have to stand before the judges and answer questions in front of all the invited guests.
The evening starts with plenty of time to get to know new people and a wonderful buffet prepared by the Samoset staff. Following the meal it is time to meet the judges and answer their questions, anything from if you were a lobster boat what would your name be, to name three lighthouses on the Maine coast. What are your plans for the next year? Who has had the biggest influence in your life? What is one thing you would change about your community? Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I am very happy to be the photographer and not a judge. They have the hardest job of all, with the exception of Sharon Lombardo the coronation director.
With over 40 years in the arts he brings a wealth of artistic expression to his new designer fashions. Doug's photos will transport you to a place where life is simple and the unspoiled beauty will take your breath away.
