Friday, July 29

Free Walking Tour every Friday at 4:00 pm, hosted by the Camden Public Library and the Camden Area Business Group. The tour begins on Atlantic Avenue at the Children’s Garden of the Library and end at the Opera House. Please call the library at 236-3440 to sign up.


Monday, August 1

Free Monday Night Movie, “The Big Sleep” (1946, 1 hr 54 min), for Camden Classics Weekend. 8:15 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre, presented by the Camden Public Library. Bring blankets or chairs for comfortable seating. 


Tuesday, August 2

Author Jon Olsen presents “Why Did Kennebec Valley Mainers Conspire to Overthrow the Queen of Hawai’i?” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.


Wednesday, August

Midcoast Stroke Support Group, 10:00 am at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome.

Reception for Artist of the Month John Wisseman, 3:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The exhibit is “The Working Waterfront.” Wisseman uses a little-known and infrequently seen technique, “pochoir.”


Sunday, August 7

The Cyber Sunday topic at the Camden Public Library is “Back to School: Current Technology in the Local Public Schools,” 2:00 pm. All classes are free.

Tuesday Book Club monthly meeting, 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The book for this session is “Girl Waits with Gun” by Amy Stewart.

Monthly meeting of the Reading Group of the Camden Philosophical Society, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.

Author Tom Johnson will present his book “Threaded Journeys,” a compilation of fly fishing and bow hunting stories from adventures in the Maine woods and on Maine rivers, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.

Thursday, August 11

The Juke Rockets return to the Camden Amphitheatre for a free performance! The Rockets are a blues and great rock & roll band and they get people dancing! 7:00 pm. Hosted by the Camden Public Library.
