CASTINE, Maine – Emily Wyman scored a pair of goals to lead Maine Maritime to a 4-0 win over Husson on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Ritchie Field, snapping the Eagles' 12-match unbeaten streak in the series.
Wyman broke the scoreless battle in the 21st minute when she broke free from a defender and sent a skipping ball into the net for Maine Maritime (5-6-1, 3-1-1 NAC).
Tori Cooper scored in the 32nd minute to double the Mariner lead, 2-0.
Wyman added her second goal of the game in the 60th minute when she nudged her defender out of
the way and kicked the ball into the back of the net.
In the 66th minute, Wyman placed a ball ahead to Makayla Lewis, who scored for the final tally.
Maggie McConkey (5-6-1) stopped all four shots she faced in her fourth shutout of the season.
Kayla Gordon (4-4-1) recorded five saves in the loss.
Reigning NAC Rookie of the Week Alison Boulier and Sydney Costa each had three shots for Husson (5-6-1, 2-3 NAC).
The Eagles travel to Colby (Maine) on Tuesday, Oct. 13, for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
